Cool kids have no Facebook

The article 'All the cool kids are quitting Facebook' by Jenna Wortham, is an interesting writing as she labelled those who quitting Facebook as cool. Wortham is a technology reporter from The New York Time living in Brooklyn, is basically emphasized on the disadvantages of Facebook from her view. Little bit of history, Facebook is a free-access-social-networking website introduced last February 2004 whose founded by Mark Zuckerberg and friends. Besides that Facebook also a one-stop centre as it provide entertainment, information, communication, online shopping and many more. 


Recently, there are many issues regarding the privacy in Facebook. So for the users, the first thing to do is to ask yourself - Do you really trust Facebook to keep your private activities off your public timeline? If your answer is 'NO', by now you may quit your Facebook account. But if your answer is 'Yes', you are encourage to read this writing until the end. 


First of all, why we need privacy? Undoubtedly because we want only certain friends to access our certain informations. So how we can avoid privacy pitfall from happening to us? Don't worry, because luckily Facebook is a democracy tool that provides us the chance to  choose. Users like us can choose what we desire to share, what we do not need to impart, and what we desire to impart with chosen associates. Just click, click and click to set your privacy setting.




So now, in your mind, is there still any statements like these:
I prefer to keep a few of my "friends" out of my photo albums
I like to prevent a few "friends" from accessing my personal info
I don't want one of my Facebook "friends" knowing my status updates
If there are, the best answer would be is to remove all of those so-called-friends! 


 So readers, before you block yourself from Facebook, consider all the possible benefits. Most importantly, face your problem, not Facebook it.
